Among the younger age group (less than 30 years old) acne is a very frequent and common complaint.  The severity upon presentation to the clinic varies.

In acne care there is a need for both medication and physical treatments to quickly bring the acne under control.

Physical treatments include our hydra-facial acne protocol. It is used for cleaning the skin, unclogging the pores, exfoliating the dead skin, and peeling the brown hyperpigmented skin patches.

For old established acne with scarring, the use of micro-needling and radiofrequency greatly improves and remodels the scars.  Laser treatments and Blue LED light mask treatments also are used to sterilize the skin.

For complex cases that are resistant to physical methods, either topical and/or oral medications may be needed. We frequently prescribe antibiotics and topicals such as benzoyl peroxide and adapalene for indicated cases.   Our medical staff is also able and trained to prescribe and manage patients requiring isotretinoin (Roaccutane) for the severe cystic acne conditions.

Rehabilitation of the face damaged by acne is often achieved with diverse procedures such as Dermapen micro needling, radiofrequency micro needling with machines such as Focus Dual or Vivace or minor surgical procedures such as subcisions combined with fillers or fat transfers.
